Brenner Holland joined Hunt Midwest in 2004 as manager of residential projects, was promoted to director of residential real estate and entitlements in January of 2007, to general manager in March of 2012 and to vice president and general manager of residential development in January of 2015. His primary focus is on the management of the day-to-day operations of the residential real estate division, which is currently developing 12 residential communities located in Kansas City’s Northland, Platte County, North Kansas City, Lee’s Summit and Raymore, Missouri. He is also responsible for the identification, entitlement and acquisition of land for future projects and for the research and development of new residential product offerings.
Brenner oversees the company’s investment in and development of new senior living communities. This is a rapidly growing real estate segment for the company, with six Benton House assisted-living and memory care communities recently opened and three additional communities in active planning and development. Brenner also manages the general contract and project management construction services for a wide range of public and private infrastructure projects and assists with company wide new business development.
Brenner has nearly three decades of finance, engineering, planning, project management, and construction experience, including coordinating development of master-planned communities in many jurisdictions. Prior to joining Hunt Midwest, he was employed by a family-owned business, Holland West Inc., as director of operations and as project and construction manager.
Brenner serves as a board member and was recently elected president of the Greater Kansas City Home Builders Association and is co-chair of its governmental affairs committee. He was elected as a national director for the National Home Builders Association and was appointed to its land development committee. Brenner serves as a board member and officer of the executive committee of the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce, chairing its business development division, and is past chair of its planning and development committee. He is a former member of the Wet Weather Community Panel and the Development Process Roundtable in Kansas City, Missouri and is a former member of the Board of Adjustments and the Planning & Zoning Commission in Bullhead City, Arizona.
Brenner is a graduate of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. A native of the Kansas City area, he and his wife Kim and family reside in Overland Park, Kansas.
