In his role as general manager of new business development, Doug Coleman is responsible for business expansion which includes identifying new opportunities and relationships, completing financial analyses, and performing all due diligence activities.
Doug began his career with Hunt Midwest in 1994 as manager of new business development and was promoted to director in 1998, serving in that position until 1999. He rejoined Hunt Midwest again in 2002 in a similar role, was promoted to assistant general manager in 2013 and to general manager in 2015. Prior to joining Hunt Midwest, Doug served as regional financial director of Balcor Property Management and as assistant treasurer and controller with Charles F. Curry Real Estate Company. He has over 30 years of experience in the fields of finance, acquisitions, real estate development and management.
Doug currently serves on the board of directors and is past president of the North Kansas City Business Council, the board of directors of the Clay County Economic Development Council and the North Kansas City Schools Education Foundation. Doug is also a member of the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Missouri Economic Development Financing Association (MEDFA). He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City and received an MBA in finance from Avila College. Doug is a life-long resident of the Kansas City area and resides with his wife, Dixie, in Kansas City, North.
