Kansas City, MO — March 31, 2026 — Hunt Midwest has promoted Mike Bell to Executive Vice President as the company continues to expand its real estate development platform and build on the strength of its leadership team. In his new role, Bell will oversee Hunt Midwest’s industrial, residential, development/acquisitions, and construction divisions to maximize strategy and execution across the company’s diverse portfolio.

“Mike’s promotion into this new executive role will further enhance alignment across our platforms” said Hunt Midwest President & CEO Ora Reynolds. “Mike’s experience, leadership and vision have been instrumental in our growth and will position Hunt Midwest to capitalize on our success for years to come.”

Bell brings more than 30 years of construction and development experience, including over 15 years at Hunt Midwest, where he has played a key role in shaping the company’s industrial growth strategy while also supporting the development of its residential, self-storage, and commercial platforms. Under his leadership, SubTropolis, the world’s largest underground business complex, has expanded to more than 9.5 million square feet, including the development of the SubTropolis Technology Center. He has also led the delivery of 4 million square feet of build-to-suit facilities for national users such as Grainger, Ace Hardware, and LKQ. In recent years, Bell has guided the company’s industrial expansion beyond Kansas City into key Southeast markets, including Kentucky, Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia, broadening relationships with national site selection consultants, strengthening partnerships with Fortune 100 companies, and reinforcing Hunt Midwest’s reputation as a trusted, long-term development partner.

Bell is actively engaged in industry and community leadership, serving on the executive committee of the KC SmartPort Board of Directors, the Board of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. Originally from Michigan, he is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in architectural engineering and remains connected to his alma mater as an alumni leader for the Pi Kappa Alpha chapter. He previously served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Church of the Resurrection, helping lead a major campus expansion, including the $92 million sanctuary in Leawood.

With this leadership structure in place, Hunt Midwest is positioned to advance projects in its current markets, pursue new opportunities nationwide, and continue building on the legacy of the Lamar Hunt family.
