Rob Douglas

Rob Douglas is responsible for daily security and safety operations at Hunt Midwest Business Center and SubTropolis, the world’s largest underground business complex.

Rob joined Hunt Midwest in 2023, and he has more than 20 years of corporate security experience. He leads the security team’s day-to-day operations ensuring a safe and secure environment for the more than 3,000 tenant employees working at SubTropolis every day. Rob also leads the security team’s training and helps coordinate with partner law enforcement, fire response, emergency services, and federal agencies.

Rob also helps coordinate security for the annual Groundhog Run 5K/10K benefiting children at Ability KC’s Mary Shaw Branton Therapeutic Preschool, which brings thousands of runners and visitors to the charity race held entirely underground at SubTropolis every year since 1982. He is a colon cancer survivor and an advocate for Fight Colorectal Cancer, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about colorectal cancers and supporting patients and survivors.
