Hunt Midwest and McWhinney Announce Plans for 78,000-Square-Foot Senior Living Community in Centerra
The Capstone at Centerra will offer first-class assisted living and memory care housing for up to 114 residents in northern Colorado
LOVELAND, CO – October 1, 2020 – Hunt Midwest is under contract with McWhinney, master developer of Centerra in Loveland, to purchase a 4.7-acre site planned for a two-story, 78,000-square-foot assisted living and memory care community. The Capstone at Centerra will be located on the north west corner of McWhinney Boulevard and US 34. The community plans to offer 56 assisted living apartment homes and 32 memory care suites, with accommodations for as many as 114 residents in the northern Colorado region. Construction is slated to begin in early 2021 with a grand opening planned for spring 2022.

The design for both the interior and exterior of The Capstone at Centerra will be inspired by surrounding architecture and northern Colorado’s natural scenery. Residents at The Capstone at Centerra will benefit from convenient access to the 3,000-acre Centerra master-planned community’s nearby amenities including recreation, art, shopping and dining, medical services, open spaces, trails and wildlife habitat. At the assisted living and memory care community, a variety of thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor amenities and gathering spaces are planned to include formal and informal living and dining rooms, a fitness center, a bistro lounge, a sunroom, a beauty salon, walking trails, a gazebo and a dog park.

The Kansas City-based developer currently has Capstone communities in Royal Palm Beach, Fla. as well as Gallatin and Mt. Juliet, Tenn.
Hunt Midwest has selected Pi Architects to lead the overall design of the community and Olsson to perform land planning and civil engineering for the project.
