Kansas City, MO – April 2, 2018– Hunt Midwest has hired Justin White as director of operations, a newly created position within its Commercial Real Estate division. With more than 16 years of experience in operations, customer service, facilities and leadership management at Starlight Theatre, White will lead day-to-day operations for SubTropolis, the world’s largest underground business park.

During his 16 year tenure at Starlight Theatre, White oversaw all aspects of maintenance and capital improvement projects for the city-owned facility, adding unique technological, brick-and-mortar, and operational enhancements to improve the appearance, efficiency, and reliability of the facility. In addition, White’s team was repeatedly recognized with awards for excellence in guest and customer experiences. As director of operations at Hunt Midwest, White will oversee lease renewals, property management, maintenance, security, and tenant relations for SubTropolis.

“A lot of my experience involves looking at an organization that overall is doing a really good job, evaluating how the pieces are fitting together and then looking for ways to be more innovative,” White said. “Ultimately, we are here to support our tenants, so they can grow and, in return, allow us to expand our real estate footprint.”

White earned a bachelor of science degree in construction management from the University of Central Missouri. He has been a member of the International Association of Venue Managers and the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, is a certified Guest Services Professional, and has completed two courses led by the Disney Institute in leadership and customer service. Justin remains a member of the Facilities Committee for Starlight Theatre and spends time as a volunteer with the Sporting Lee’s Summit soccer club. Justin resides with his family in Lee’s Summit, MO.
