MT. JULIET, Tenn. – June 18, 2019 – Hunt Midwest has received unanimous approval from the City Commission in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee to rezone a 5.5-acre site at 3125 N. Mt. Juliet Road where it plans to build The Capstone at Mt. Juliet, an assisted living and memory care community. The two-story, 76,000-square-foot senior housing community will offer 88 well-appointed studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites with accommodations for up to 114 residents.
Aaron Schmidt, vice president of development and construction at Hunt Midwest, has worked in collaboration with ISL Ventures, a division of Integral Senior Living (ISL), and Leading Light Development and Construction Consulting, to identify sites throughout the country in areas where the demand for senior housing is unmet.
“Mt. Juliet and the Metro Nashville area have seen incredible population growth over the last several years,” Schmidt said. “An increase of families moving into the area paired with a large number of seniors desiring to stay close to home has created an urgent need for quality senior housing. Our team is pleased to offer The Capstone at Mt. Juliet to meet the current and ongoing demand for first-class assisted living and memory care in a perfect location that gives seniors from Mt. Juliet and surrounding areas the ability to stay within their communities and close to friends and loved ones.”
Hunt Midwest has aligned with Integral Senior Living (ISL) to operate The Capstone at Mt. Juliet. “Having an accomplished operating partner is paramount to the success of our senior housing communities,” said Schmidt. “ISL has set the benchmark nationally with the superior level of care it provides to its residents. ISL’s upstanding reputation and history of sustainable property management is consistent with the values and goals set by our team at Hunt Midwest. Its knowledge and experience in the senior housing industry will make The Capstone at Mt. Juliet a stimulating and safe community for residents that is spiritually and physically fulfilling.”
The Capstone at Mt. Juliet will have all the hallmarks of ISL communities including its Elevate® dining and Vibrant Life® programs, Generations Memory Care, a dedicated area for residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s, and compassionate, highly-trained associates committed to providing personalized care.
“Mt. Juliet and the greater Nashville area is filled with vibrancy and is a place people want to live, and The Capstone at Mt. Juliet will match that spirit,” said Collette Gray, CEO/COO for ISL. “As we begin work on this community, we are eager to bring ISL’s excellent care to future residents.”
The Capstone at Mt. Juliet will incorporate elements from nearby architecture, with a brick façade, outdoor terraces and balconies, gardens bordered by brick columns and wrought iron fencing, and large windows to provide plentiful levels of natural light. A variety thoughtfully-designed indoor and outdoor amenities and gathering spaces will include formal and informal dining areas, chapel, fitness center, bistro lounge, sunroom, walking trails, gazebo and dog park.
Hunt Midwest has selected PI Architects to lead the overall design of the community and Civil Site Design Group to perform land planning and civil engineering for the project.
The project team plans to complete construction and welcome new residents in 2020.
