Director of Security & Safety Jon Moody is responsible for supervising and coordinating the safety and security of Hunt Midwest, its property, its tenants, and the thousands of tenant employees working at SubTropolis, the world’s largest underground business complex.

Jon Moody is responsible for supervising and coordinating the safety and security of Hunt Midwest, its property, its tenants, and the thousands of tenant employees working at SubTropolis, the world’s largest underground business complex.

Jon joined Hunt Midwest in 2017 and has more than two decades of law enforcement and security experience. He has helped expand and modernize the company’s security capabilities at SubTropolis to better protect Hunt Midwest and its tenants, including a five-year effort to upgrade to state-of-the-art video surveillance, radio, and alarm systems. He also coordinates with law enforcement, fire, and emergency services agencies and is one of the key liaisons to Hunt Midwest’s federal partners.

Jon serves on the National Fire Protection Association’s Subterranean Spaces committee, which oversees and updates the NFPA 520 national fire code standards that provide minimum requirements for the design, operation, and maintenance of developed subterranean spaces. He also is a member of ASIS International and InfraGard, a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and individuals in the private sector for the protection of U.S. critical infrastructure.
