
Doug Coleman is responsible for creating new Hunt Midwest business platforms and growing the company’s core services, including identifying new opportunities and partners, conducting financial analyses, and overseeing all due diligence efforts.
Doug has more than 30 years of service with Hunt Midwest and more than 40 years of experience in real estate development, finance, acquisitions, and management. He has played a role in nearly every major business effort the company has undertaken over the past several decades, from acquiring and selling amusement park and mining operations for the Lamar Hunt Family’s expansive real estate holdings to creating custom financial dashboard models to assess deals and expanding the company into several new industry sectors. Doug led the company’s entry into the senior living market in 2011 and helped create Hunt Southwest in 2015, where he serves on the board of directors. He also created Hunt Midwest’s growing climate-controlled self-storage platform called StorTropolis, which now includes six locations across the Kansas City metro.
Doug is deeply involved in civic and economic development organizations across Kansas City’s Northland. In 2023, he was inducted into the Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame.
