Job Function:
Responsible for warehouse duties to include driving a forklift, assisting customers, charging RV and vehicle batteries, cleaning floors, doing office paperwork and monitoring telephones. May also be responsible for traveling by car for all Hunt Midwest companies for deliveries and pickups, i.e. daily runs to banks to make deposits, post office, special errands for departments as requested.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Perform standard warehouse duties in a climate–controlled environment, involving but not limited to, the storage of RV’s, boats, and vehicles, to include move in, move outs, retrieval and return and accurately filling out extensive paperwork and documentation.
- Assist the property manager in whatever duties are assigned, while following a chain of command and maintaining company confidentiality regarding customers and company policies.
- Function successfully in a casual work environment with high volume customer contacts and slower off–season periods of time.
- Must have a positive attitude, great work ethic, be a self–starter willing to take initiative while always maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Show and promote the facility in a professional, friendly manner with a high–quality customer service.
- Be highly motivated and innovative in handling unusual circumstances while representing the company in a positive, business–like manner.

- Responsible for operating an automatic shift automobile and driving around the Kansas City area, making deliveries and pickups at various locations.
- Responsible for traveling by car delivering and picking up company mail.
- Responsible for traveling by car to the K.C. Chiefs offices delivering and picking up mail.
- Responsible for traveling by car to the downtown area.
- Responsible for traveling by car to Hunt Martin Materials.
- Responsible for traveling by car to the various Residential Division communities.
- Drive to different banks to make daily deposits.
- Responsible for doing special run requests for departments when requested for pickups and deliveries (e.g. police station, attorneys’ offices, etc.).
- Responsible for delivering peanut canisters to customers annually around Ground Hog Day.
- Responsible for any special projects requested by supervisor.

Key Skills:
- Be proficient with computers and utilization of various software applications.
- Assist in running a small office by answering phones, promoting the expansion of the company, taking payments, keeping accurate records and reporting to the property manager of any and all unusual incidents that might need attention.
- Must run the office when manager is away.
- Have a well-spoken phone voice that reflects confidence and a positive willingness to assist the customers in order to provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist in providing a safe and clean work environment with daily sweeping and cleaning of storage rooms, offices and dusting off vehicles.
- Ability to lift 10-50 lbs. of boat tongues and hitches.
- Possess a working knowledge of towing a boat, vehicle, driving an RV or 5th wheel.
- Utilize a battery charger, air compressor, air tank, 5th wheel truck hitch, vehicle receiver, vacuum cleaner and broom and dustpan.
- Operate a sit-down forklift in a safe manner at all times, asking for assistance when needed to move stored units.
- Greet existing and new customers in meeting their needs in moving in or out of their parking spaces.
- Assist in hooking up and moving RV’s, boats and vehicles and ensuring safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of any vehicle movement.
- Ability to operate an automatic shift automobile. Starting engine, pressing pedal, and turning steering wheel to operate the car.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to carry out simple oral and written instructions and deal with simple problems from standardized situations.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition and subtraction of two digit numbers and basic units of measurement to handle money when paying for parking fees, batteries, gas, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with individuals both inside and outside the company.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and/or moving of up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to get around Kansas City downtown area going from office to office, bank to bank etc.
- Basic analytical skills necessary to organize workload according to established priorities.
- Ability to work on own without immediate supervision.
