Five KC Area Benton Houses Earn US News and World Report Awards – “Best Assisted Living” and “Best Memory Care”

Kansas City, MO — May 7, 2024 — Five area Benton House communities were recently awarded “Best Assisted Living” and/or “Best Memory Care” by U.S. News & World Report. Based on resident and family satisfaction surveys, the U.S. News & World Report awards signify Benton House has consistently ranked within the top tier of care providers.

The local honorees include Benton House of Olathe, Benton House of Lenexa, Benton House of Tiffany Springs, Benton House of Raymore, and Benton House of Blue Springs operated by Principal Senior Living Group. More than 3,500 communities participated nationally. In all, 20 Benton Houses were honored to receive “Best Of” awards nationwide, the highest assisted living/memory care company percentage in the nation.

Michael Allard, Chief Executive Officer of Principal Senior Living Group says receiving the honor adds another accolade to the award-winning company.

“We accept every award with humility and gratitude, but we are particularly pleased to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report because of the scale of the community group and national scope,” Allard said. “When you combine this award with our Fortune U.S. Top 50 Great Place to Work status it tells us we have very special communities for both residents and our team. The consistency of excellence delivered by our team is truly extraordinary.”

Hunt Midwest and Principal Senior Living Group own six Benton House locations across the Kansas City metro that have consistently received national accolades since the partners’ first location opened in 2011.

“The US News and World Report awards are the most special because they’re based on the experience of those who matter most – our residents and their families,” said Doug Coleman, Senior Vice President at Hunt Midwest. “We are proud of our operating partner Principal Senior Living Group for upholding the highest standard of service and care.”

In February, Principal Senior Living Group and Hunt Midwest opened 21 new memory care residences at Benton House of Olathe at 151st Street and Blackfoot Drive, expanding the availability of much-needed, high-quality senior housing in a growing corner of the Kansas City metro.
