Hunt Midwest orders up first two retail tenants at The Vue

Parisi Café and Evolve Juicery & Kitchen to lease a combined 4,135 square feet

OVERLAND PARK, KS – August 27, 2018 – Hunt Midwest has secured leases with Parisi Café and Evolve Juicery & Kitchen for a combined 4,135 square feet of ground-level retail space at The Vue, its $49M mixed-use redevelopment project under construction at W. 80th St. between Marty and Floyd Streets in Downtown Overland Park.

Parisi Café will occupy 2,293 square feet, including a 400 square foot covered outdoor patio on the northwest corner of the property. Upon opening in early 2019, the café will serve artisanal, hand-crafted espresso and coffee drinks, and a variety of pastries baked in its own bakery in the Crossroads District of Downtown Kansas City. Additionally, Parisi café will offer sandwiches, soups and a wide variety of grab-and-go food and beverage items. Next to its flagship location inside of Union Station, this is the brand’s second café in the Kansas City metro serving up an excellent coffee experience.

“We’re thrilled to extend our relationship with Hunt Midwest as we open our second Kansas City-area Parisi Café in Downtown Overland Park,” said Anthony Paris, chief legal officer and COO for Parisi’s parent company, Paris Brothers Specialty Foods. “The revitalization of the area has brought additional lifestyle, retail and entertainment options which makes The Vue the perfect location for the next Parisi Café. We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the community.”

Evolve Juicery & Kitchen will give local residents and patrons a healthier option for eating on-the-go when it opens its 1,842 square foot fast-casual dining concept in October. Evolve will offer a selection of freshly prepared meals, side dishes and cold-press organic juices created by a team of in-house chefs and dieticians. It will also serve as a spot where customers can pick-up meals ordered online.

“The active, health-conscious lifestyle of the hundreds of new residents moving into The Vue and surrounding areas made the space an easy choice for our latest location,” explains Dr. Jason Fechter, co-owner of Evolve. “Many of us want or need to improve our eating habits, but our schedules don’t always allow the time to shop and prepare food as we’d like. Our in-store and online menus cater to busy individuals, providing delicious, nutritious options that make healthy eating easier than ever before.”

Hunt Midwest has been strategic in selecting tenants for The Vue, according to Ora Reynolds, president and CEO of Hunt Midwest, and it’s paying off.

“We wanted The Vue to house a mix of retailers that would provide highly desirable products and services to our residents and the greater Downtown Overland Park community. As locally owned, well-established businesses, Parisi and Evolve are in tune with the vibe of Downtown and add to the eclectic mix of retailers within walking distance of The Vue.”

Above the 8,650 square feet of commercial space are 219 one- and two-bedroom luxury apartment homes with attached, structured parking and an assortment of indoor and outdoor community amenities. Pre-leasing of the apartments is underway, and residents will begin moving into The Vue in early December.
