What you’ll do:

The HRG supports the talent acquisition, employee development, and retention strategies of the company. The HRG is the primary point of contact for managers and employees for all aspects of employment and employee relations matters. The HRG is expected to keep abreast of all federal and state regulations, compensation strategies, benefit trends, or other external factors impacting the company. The HRG will anticipate personnel issues associated with business decisions and assist in developing solutions in partnership with company leaders which are compatible with sound human resources and general business practices.

Your essential duties:

  • Development, implement, and maintain all HR policies and procedures
  • Lead recruiter for all permanent full-time and part-time positions, interns, and temporary employees
  • Write and place job postings using a variety of sources, including social networks, while working closely with the hiring manager to identify quality candidates
  • Process new employees through the new hire cycle including pre-screening, interview scheduling, travel arrangements, candidate correspondence, employment offers, and background checks
  • Serve as backup for salaried/hourly payroll processing
  • Maintain and keep current a library of job descriptions for all job positions
  • Maintain Human Resources Information System (HRIS) records and internal HR spreadsheets
  • Facilitate employee training (required and elective) and onboarding
  • Execute deliverables in a professional and timely manner
  • Provides HR guidance and support to business units including talent management, talent acquisition, employment law compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, change management, competency development, succession planning, and process improvement
  • Organize and coordinate company team-building events including the company’s annual United Way Campaign, company parties and holiday luncheons, employee milestones, anniversary gifts, and communications meetings
  • Assists in benefits administration including new hire enrollment, processing monthly billings and communicating benefit information to employees

Tools for Success:

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of HRG experience
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to interact comfortably with senior leadership and manage their expectations
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Vision to promote change
