Rob Douglas helps lead and train the security staff at SubTropolis, where the team monitors the safety of more than 55 tenants and their more than 2,000 employees. 

Rob is responsible for the day-to-day staff management and training that provides tenants, employees, and guests to SubTropolis best-in-class service as the world’s largest underground business complex experiences record-setting growth. 

Rob joined Hunt Midwest in 2023 with more than 20 years of corporate security experience, most recently as Security Operations Manager with Oracle/Cerner, where he oversaw the daily physical security operations of the company’s Lee’s Summit campus encompassing seven data centers and extensive office space. He also served for five years as security supervisor for Kessinger/Hunter Management Company, where he oversaw a team of 34 security officers across the Crown Center office and retail campus. 

Rob is a colon cancer survivor and an advocate for Fight Colorectal Cancer, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about colorectal cancers and supporting patients and survivors. He lives in Independence with his wife and they have two grown children.
