Ryan Huffman is responsible for overseeing site management of Hunt Midwest’s real estate developments, including SubTropolis, the world’s largest underground business complex. He manages tenant relations, lease renewals, expansions, and special events direction.

Ryan joined Hunt Midwest in 2024 with more than two decades of real estate management experience. He works directly with current and future tenants at Hunt Midwest Business Center and SubTropolis to manage their leases, tenant improvements, maintenance requirements, and expansion and relocation needs. He previously worked for 22 years at Cohen-Esrey, including serving as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, where he oversaw the property management and acquisition platforms with a portfolio of over 100 real estate properties across 18 states with over 400 systemwide staff.

Ryan is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and is a past president of the Kansas City Chapter.  He was recognized as IREM Kansas City’s CPM of the Year in 2014 and 2018.  He currently serves on the IREM International Board of Directors as the 2025 Secretary/Treasurer Nominee.  Ryan serves as Chairman of the Board of PreservingUS, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving historic buildings and advancing affordable housing across the country.  He also serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer of Infinity Housing Group, a non-profit dedicated to helping develop resources for young women in the foster care system.

He is a 2002 cum laude graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in finance and banking. Ryan lives in Kansas City’s Northland with his wife and three kids.
