Ryan Tompkins is responsible for leasing Hunt Midwest’s growing portfolio of commercial and industrial buildings and the same of build-to-suit properties in the Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky and Florida markets. He works directly with commercial real estate brokers, site selection consultants, and economic development agencies to develop business opportunities and expand Hunt Midwest’s industrial footprint. 

Ryan has nearly 30 years of experience, including more than 13 years at Hunt Midwest. He has been involved in the leasing or sale of more than 8 million square feet of commercial, industrial, and build-to-suit projects at Hunt Midwest properties. Ryan played an integral role in bringing new business and development to Automotive Alley, the strategic combination of SubTropolis and Hunt Midwest Business Center for automotive users due to its proximity to the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo. Nearly every Ford Transit van assembled in North America will pass through Hunt Midwest’s Automotive Alley, where Ryan has leased more than 1.5 million square feet and where almost two dozen upfitters and automotive suppliers currently support Transits and F-150 trucks. 

Ryan is an active member of the Urban Land Institute of Kansas City and earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Kansas. He currently resides with his family in Prairie Village, Kansas.
