Zach Murdock is responsible for sharing Hunt Midwest’s story with the community. He coordinates with business partners and news media to provide updates about Hunt Midwest’s real estate developments and its broader impact in the community through civic leadership and philanthropic efforts.
Zach joined Hunt Midwest in October 2022 after almost a decade in journalism newspapers across the country, including at The Kansas City Star and Hartford Courant. His reporting focused on criminal justice, youth gun violence, homelessness, and holding public officials accountable, with special attention on community members who may not otherwise have a platform to tell their stories. His journalism has been recognized by the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists, the Florida Society of Professional Journalists, and the South Carolina Press Association.
Zach graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri in 2013 and is a proud former member of The News Guild. Born and raised in Kansas City, he now lives in Waldo with his wife and son.
